Hi, I’m Anwar. I’m a cactus lover, researcher, and blogger, and I warmly welcome anyone who loves nature and believes in its healing power to join me at My Cactus Garden. I’m on a mission to change the world—one where everyone learns to love plants as much as I do.
I’ve been growing cacti since 2018. When I bought my first cactus, I was excited but completely clueless. I had seen cacti in a friend’s garden and felt an undeniable pull toward them, so one day in March, I decided to bring home some cactus babies from that friend.
Some things are just meant to be. Somehow, I found myself guided to grow and write about cacti, even though I was on a completely different path. It feels like destiny—or as they say, it was written in the stars.
I started with small species, giving each one personal attention and care. Within a year, my collection had grown to over 100 plants!
Living up to expectations is tough, and I made plenty of mistakes along the way—luckily, I had a few close calls that taught me valuable lessons.
More and more people are turning to cacti as indoor houseplants, but sadly, many end up “burying them alive” or killing them through neglect. That’s why I created this site—to help you avoid the same pitfalls I faced with my own plants.
Modern science shows that plants can sense you, heal you, and even “hear” you. Taking care of plants is a deeply rewarding experience—I know firsthand the peace, happiness, and wisdom they can bring into your life.
