How to Consume Peyote? ( Never Miss the Taste)

How to Consume Peyote?

One of the phenylethylamine classes of naturally occurring hallucinogens is mescaline. It can be made by digesting some cacti, peyote being the most well-known.

There are also several ways to consume peyote by drying and grinding the plant into powder form which can then be smoked or ingested. It should be noted that smoking peyote is not recommended due to the risk of developing lung cancer and other respiratory diseases, especially when done on a regular basis.

Mescaline has two phases that start to take action after around 30 minutes of consumption and persist for between 8 and 12 hours, depending on how much is consumed.

The initial phase is characterized by a feeling of lightheadedness, occasionally accompanied by malaise, chills, and occasionally nausea.

The effects of mescaline on perception and awareness begin to have hallucinogenic effects after two hours. These effects include reality distortion, sensory alteration, inner calm, euphoria, empathy, and even mystical experiences that can last up to Let its influence wear off.

What is Peyote?

A little cactus called peyote (Lophophora williamsii) has hallucinogenic alkaloids in it. The most well-known of these is mescaline, which is also found in the San Pedro cactus.

Southwest Texas and Mexico are the original home of this cactus. It typically blooms from March to May, however, it might bloom into September on occasion. Its flowers are pink. Extremely slowly growing, it can take up to 30 years for it to flower in its natural environment. The farmed peyotes, however, need between three and ten years to achieve maturity. tremendous therapeutic and psychoactive effects they made the Huichol tribes notice him.

Small, hemispherical, spineless, fleshy cactus with the low rounded sections bearing a tuft of yellow-white hairs at the summit. Naturally grows in gravelly clay and loam soils on gentle slopes and needs part shade. It is illegal in most of the western world.

Peyote

At present, the consumption of peyote is carried out fundamentally for its entheogenic effects. Emphasizing recreational purposes and as a support for some meditation exercises.

How is Peyote Consumed?

Peyote is a 100% natural drug and therefore does not need to be refined, isolated or processed as is the case with other drugs such as cocaine.

In order to avoid any legal problems, some people make their own infusions or teas using peyote as the main active compound whereas others prefer chewing the plant while swallowing its juice.

Prepare Peyote infusions

The most popular method of ingestion is tea or infusions. Peyote tea is easy and quick to make. The cactus simply needs to be sliced into thin slices and put into a mixer or blender. Put a little water in a saucepan once you pour the outcome there.

Once it begins to boil, turn the heat down to the lowest setting in the pan. Allow the water to be sipped, and then after 4 or 5 hours, all that is left is for you to squeeze and filter.

Peyote tea is the end result. Mescaline still retains its intended effects, but it now has the advantage of being less bitter.

Chewing Peyote

The most useful method of consuming is this one. Peyote only has thorns when it is young; to use it, simply chop off a piece of the cactus and put it in your mouth.

You might want to take away the yellowish fuzz that surrounds it. Avoid damaging the skin when cutting it, as that is where the majority of the mescaline is located.

You simply need to chew it for a bit in your mouth before swallowing the juice. The juice of peyote is quite bitter, which is a drawback.

Prepare Dehydrated and Ground Peyote

This method is the most advised one; all you have to do is cut the peyote, allow it to dry, and then grind it in a mortar. You can use the powder to make capsules or to add to juice or smoothies.

The advantage of this method is that you can store the peyote for extended periods of time without worrying that its effects will fade.

Additionally, infusions can be created with peyote powder. The use of ointments and ointments is another less popular method of ingestion. This form is almost always employed when we wish to give it a therapeutic approach, as opposed to the other three.

You are not required to make your life more difficult by making an ointment, though.  You just have to cut a disc of peyote and apply it to your skin.

How Is Mescaline Taken?

Mescaline is an alkaloid. It is the active ingredient in peyote (derived from the dried top of a type of cactus), and is also found in other cacti, such as San Pedro. Mescaline’s action is similar to other hallucinogens, such as LSD. However, unlike synthetic counterparts, the action of mescaline is less intense.

Mescaline is derived from the dried top of a type of cactus. In total, there are several types of plants from which a narcotic substance can be obtained. They are dried, powdered, and consumed orally (swallowed). The effect of the drug can last for 5-12 hours.

Side shoots of cacti are used to create the drug.

The action of mescaline is similar to that of other hallucinogens, although it has slightly different effects than psilocybin or LSD. It produces several subtle but distinct sensations, such as:

●         Feeling happy and euphoric about everything around you.

●         A loss of your sense of time and space.

●         Increased sensitivity to sounds and colors.

Even in ancient times, the Indians of South America used peyote and juice from it to conduct various religious rites.

The danger of mescaline is that it irrevocably destroys a large number of neurotransmitters in the brain. Even after a single use, a person may experience repeated hallucinations even if he no longer used the drug.

What Effect Does Mescaline Have?

Mescaline is similar in structure to the neurotransmitters of the brain, so the body very quickly adapts to the narcotic substance and lets it go further into the central nervous system without any problems. Mescaline destroys neural connections and is extremely harmful to a person’s mental health. The effect of mescaline on the body may look like this:

  • increased levels of cortisol, the stress hormone;
  • taste and smell receptors are distorted – they can disappear completely or give a person false ideas about the taste and smell of various objects and phenomena;
  • movements are strongly inhibited, and the person seems to be constantly falling asleep;
  • nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and other problems with the digestive tract;
  • there are problems with the formulation of thoughts, confusion;
  • auditory, tactile, and visual hallucinations begin.
  • dilated pupils – one of the clear signs of the presence of a drug in the body;
  • a state of mania, a surge of strength and energy;
  • a person experiences anxiety, unreasonable fear;
  • there are problems with orientation in time and space.

How Soon Does Mescaline Start Working?

Mescaline is a substance obtained from peyote, a small flower that grows in the Southwestern part of the United States. The drug was used by Native Americans during religious ceremonies, and its use continues in some communities today. Mescaline is often taken by chewing the flowers of the peyote cactus, or by drinking their juice. The active ingredients are extracted and purified before being consumed through injection or as pills.

The drug begins to act on the body half an hour after its use. At first, euphoria sets in, and anxiety and fears pass. Negative thoughts cease to torment the head. A person begins to feel an unprecedented feeling of happiness, the world around him seems beautiful and magical. There are vivid hallucinations, often magical, and mystical. Sometimes, instead of the expected miraculous illusions, the patient begins to see nightmares.

The effects of mescaline last from 6 to 8 hours and cause dizziness, nausea, vomiting, sweating and kidney failure, which may be fatal in rare cases. The drug can lead to psychosis or schizophrenia in users who are predisposed to these conditions. The drug is also responsible for strokes and heart attacks when taken with alcohol or other drugs that raise blood pressure.

Consequences of Using Mescaline

As a result of prolonged use of peyote, the following disorders may occur:

  • severe mood swings;
  • the appearance of euphoria or unreasonable fear;
  • paralysis of individual muscle groups, impaired motor function;
  • liver and kidney failure;
  • development of mental disorders, depression, anxiety, etc.
  • loss of any social skills;
  • loss of the ability to think analytically.

In order to enjoy mescaline, a person must increase the dose of the drug taken more and more each time. The higher its dose, the more harm is done to the psyche, there is a risk of getting an overdose of the drug. And so another addiction is born.

Popular Songs About Peyote and Its Effects

“Mescaline I am happy
When you are inside me
Whenever you kiss me
On the mouth or on the nose
You make me go crazy
I can’t stop laughing
You are not like the others
Pure ruin and nothing else
Instead, you are a love
The queen of my heart
Well, you have filled life
With pure sex and rock ‘n’ roll
Mescaline my love
Mescaline my love…”

Is It Safe to Consume Peyote?

While peyote is a natural plant, it must be consumed with care. It produces hallucinations and is used for spiritual purposes in Mexico, where it grows naturally. Peyote contains mescaline and has been used for such purposes for thousands of years*. As a drug, it is illegal in many countries including the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom.

It is also used to produce psychedelic drugs, but also medicine and psychoactive substances.

The peyote cactus grows naturally in the wild and so is accessible to anyone who wishes to try it out. These days, however, most peyote consumption happens in ritualistic contexts where it is prepared and consumed with care.

It’s important to note that even when it’s used in this manner, consuming peyote without being aware of its effects can lead to serious negative consequences such as nausea and vomiting or panic attacks.

How to Make a Mescaline Tea

Before you start making mescaline tea, here’s what you’ll need:

  • The cactus of your choice ( Peyote , San Pedro , Peruvian Torch , Bolivian Torch
  • Slow cooker (slow cooker)
  • Pliers and thick gloves (if your cactus has thorns)
  • Some water
  • ½ Citron
  • Chiffon fabric
  • A sieve (at least 10 cm in diameter)
How to Make Mescaline Tea

1. Recognize that cacti differ in their mescaline content. Before purchasing and chopping a cactus, familiarize yourself with its mescaline content.

From person to person, the dosage required to produce the optimum psychedelic experience varies dramatically.

An enjoyable trip is influenced by a variety of variables, including body weight, frame, state of mind, and any prior mescaline use and tolerance.

2. Cut the cactus into uniform 1.5 cm-thick slices. Put on your gloves and use pliers to remove the thorns from your cactus. Thorns shouldn’t be mixed in with the mixture.

3. Add the lemon to the water in the slow cooker after adding about 2-3 liters of water.
The acid in the lemon will aid in mescaline absorption by the body.

4. Insert the sliced cactus into the slow cooker, and simmer on very low heat for the entire night.  If a lot of water evaporates, add more.

5. The cactus “soup” will have a texture similar to glue the next morning. You must now strain the mixture through the muslin cloth into a different container and set it over the sieve. Pure liquid will be able to pass through. Be careful because the mixture could be very hot.
You now have clean water with cactus flavoring.

6. I’m sorry to say it, but this herbal tea tastes awful, so you should drink as little of it as you can.
The filtered liquid should be simmered over low heat until it is sufficiently concentrated to fill a teacup (or multiple cups, depending on the number of persons involved).
You made your hallucinogenic beverage the old-fashioned manner.
